street beat

pete posted this 13th October 2009 2:28pm

I’ve decided to sell all my worldly possessions and become a gypsy,

And so boo-hoo I’m even going to say goodbye to my old BMX.

It’s a 1985 Skyway Street Beat in the Green/Purple/White

colourway (as modelled below by the lovely Lydia).

An awesome bike, as ridden by Scottie Freeman and the late

great Neil Ruffell back in the mid 80′s. Original Dia-Compe breaks,

Skyway EZ bars etc.. Looks like it was made yesterday.

Now, I know this ain’t the Free-Ads, but If you want it, make me an
offer in the comment section below and I’ll get back to you.

You could be ‘cherry-pickin’ in no time.

R.I.P Neil Ruffell

That is the business! Have wanted a BMX for ages but a bit strapped for cash. For one as special as that I wouldn’t want to insult you…. but here goes… £150?

Thanks for the offers folks, but if we can get over the £400 mark we’ll be in the right area (thats still a bargain i reckon). This thing is almost 25 years old and has been sat in a box in a warehouse in Bristol all that time. And since i built it up it’s barely been ridden. You won’t find many Skyways in this condition, trust me.

If I had the money then I would pay £350 for it, but alas, my job running a BMX track doesn’t pay me that well.

For the glory not the money.
