XC6C1308XC6C1517XC6C1451XC6C1530       Yesterday, Paddy and I spent our afternoon getting muddy with a bunch of cracking kids from Farbridge West.

Having spent 4 hours on friday upstairs in the bristol shop planning and building our beautiful machines, monday morning was spent tweaking and tinkering before the MOT test.  They had to be safe: all wood sanded and all metal filed smooth.

We had literally 60 seconds to blap some paint on the beasts and then all piled in to the minibuses and made our way to Arnos Vale Park. We then completed five epic races with me flying the flag for howies and Paddy joining forces with Fairbridge.

Obviously, Team howies trounced the opposition and I was particularly pleased to beat Paddy in the slalom race. He was the third member of the Fairbridge team to get thrown from the cart and get covered in mud!

We had a great time over the two days working alongside the young people and we could see that they got a lot out of the event.  They worked extremely hard and we were impressed at how well everyone worked together.

We’ll have a link soon to all the photos taken over the two days and in the new year the short film about the Boxcar event will be launched at the IMAX on Southbank. Watch this space.

Big thanks once again to our Nick Hand who have up his time to take the photos.

And if you like the howies Team boxcar Tshirt that Pete designed, give us a ring at the Bristol shop to buy one!
