jon posted this 17th March 2010 6:20pm

March’s Archive T-shirt of the Month is ‘Breathe’

By bike, by board, by foot and by yourself.
Get out there and find your diversion.
Look for some solitude.
And breathe it in…

Inhale, exhale.

Available in Sinatra Junior for men & Banana for women.

Servers Schmervers

jon posted this 16th March 2010 8:35pm

From 10pm until 2am our servers-somewhere-in-the-sky are under going maintenance.  So if you can’t read our blogs don’t worry we’ll be back in the by the time you wake up tomorrow.

It’s only affecting our blog not the main howies site.

So while we’re down, why not step outside and stare at the sky.

If you need an internet fix, you could head over to Ye olde brainfood blog circa 2008.

Sample Sale

ade posted this 16th March 2010 10:26am

We are coming to Manchester  this week for what I think will be our most Northerly Sample Sale this year. (Time and staff levels are the only reason)

Last year we came to the Triangle shopping centre and it worked so well that we are using a larger space.

The address is The Triangle shopping Centre, Exchange Square, Manchester. M4 3TR and opening times;

Thursday 18th 4pm to 8pm.

Friday 19th 10am to 6pm

Saturday 20th 10am to 6pm

Sunday 21st 11am to 4pm

This time we are upstairs in Unit 28. Our friends at Thoughtful are helping out and have made a MASSIVE howies banner, so look up when you come in and you should see us.

Mel and Lisa our clothing designers went through all their samples 3 weeks ago and have pulled out some unseen gems.

Naomi and Clare have spent 10 days in our cold back warehouse sorting and hanging and boxing.

Sinead is up from our London store (she’s a local) and Barney from our Bristol store and little ol’ me from Cardigan to work the 4 days and do some running, ride the fixeds round town and judging by how busy the hotels are, Saturday night should be fun.

Thursdays at every sample sale are always the busiest, and where you get the pick of the crop, but be prepared to hustle and bustle for your bargain.

Oh and as ever, bring a good bag as we will not have any.

And if your up for a 6 mile urban run, I am.

It was such a lovely weekend ‘weatherwise’

There wasn’t a cloud in the sky over Cardigan yesterday, and although it was still pretty cold it finally feels as if we’re starting to shake off the last bits of winter and can look forward to Spring.

What better way to sum up springtime than snowdrops – I took this yesterday afternoon while on a walk through Cwm Degwel. lovely stuff! Viva la primavera!

Make your own history

Amy from Big Top Design just emailed in asking us to persuade her husband to wash his jeans!

James has had them six months and has worn them every day apart from when he was at wedding according to Amy.

We think they look amazing plus think of all that saved water too.

Here’s a tip to stop the ’smell:’ Freeze them over night, kills all the dirty bacteria.

Bullshit Budget Cuts t-shirt

Leave 6 Music and the Asian network alone. We are pretty disappointed here at howies after hearing the BBC’s decision to axe 6 Music and the Asian Network. So here’s our t-shirt to tell the beeb what we think about their dumbass decision. Lets hope the BBC trust see some sense, that they listen to some old John Peel shows and understand that to take away the music of the people is to take away their blood. Music is life.

Available for Men Here and Women Here
