Whilst everyone is ranting on about xmas, in the Creative department Pete, Nick and myself are cracking on with the Spring 2010 catalogue. Not long ago a few of us visited Patagonia to Cardigan’s twin town Trevelin, got some brilliant pictures… add to that some amazing photos from the Cardigan shoot and we have a new howies catalogue on our hands. We’ve even got the masterful Jon Matthews working with us in the words department. Watch this space…

Jack, Anna, James and Lydia are back from the photoshoot in Patagonia.

They brought back a hard drive with over 20,000 photos on it…

And some sachets of sugar. Uh thanks?

This arrived today.

On to the next one now.

I went to Westdale Press yesterday to sign off our catalogue.

Looks super nice…

Should be on your doormat early November.

If you get the chance to stroll down Queens Road in Bristol or Carnaby Street, London it’ll be worth checking out the newly updated howies stores. We’ve been frantically sawing, painting and installing the new window displays as well as in-store graphics (we even had the ever talented David Sparshott in to do some big scale illustration). And, of course, the new Autumn clothing range is in too. So go check em out and let us know what you think.

And it smells good.

That’s it. Done. Finished. Complete.

The last amendments have been sent to the printers. Tomorrow the catalogue will go to press.

I’ve not seen the howies catalogue on press before so on Friday i’ll be going to see how it’s all
getting along.

Exciting stuff.

Before I leave work tonight I want to say a little something about the upcoming catalogue. I can’t find the card reader so no sneak preview unfortunately. What I can tell you though is that we’re pretty excited about this one. In terms of content, so far it is just brilliant. Nick, James, Jon, Paul Bliss and Jack Lynch captured some amazing photos out in Sweden. The clothes are fantastic, the illustrations are beautiful and what I’ve read so far is just spot on. All that’s left is for Pete and myself to piece it all together, and in that respect I’m also pretty damn excited.

Listen for the thud on your doorstep September 1st.

The final amended version of the catalogue has at last been sent to print. So it should be landing on your doorsteps mid-Feb. Thankyou very much to everyone that helped out making this one happen, you are all very special people. And of course, to Nick and Pete, was a pleasure working with you guys on this one.

Right then, bags are packed, I’m off for a week in the snow. See you soon.

The howies® spring 2009 catalogue is done.

It’s all about footprints. 

(I’ll say no more, you’ll just have to wait and see).

It will be on your doorstep by mid-February.
